EV charger grants in the Balearic Islands (2026)
In 2026 the grant for a home charging point in Mallorca is the Balearic Government’s FACTOR programme: 70% of the cost, up to €2,500 for private individuals. Here are the requirements and why MOVES III no longer applies.
How much: 70%, up to €2,500
FACTOR 2026 (programme 4) funds new private-access charging infrastructure. For a private individual the grant is 70% of the cost, capped at €2,500 per installation. For example, if the installed charger costs €2,000, the grant is €1,400; the €2,500 cap is reached with an installation of about €3,570.
For businesses the percentage depends on size: 40% small, 30% medium and 20% large companies, capped at €12,000 per installation.
| Beneficiary | Grant | Cap per installation |
|---|---|---|
| Private individual (no business activity) | 70% | €2,500 |
| Small company | 40% | €12,000 |
| Medium company | 30% | €12,000 |
| Large company | 20% | €12,000 |
Technical requirements
The rules require the charging point to meet these conditions:
- Charging power up to 15 kW.
- Single- or three-phase supply, 230–400 V AC.
- At least one Type 2 connector (IEC 62196-2), compatible with mode 3.
- Electrical protection under current rules and a CE declaration for the unit.
What about MOVES III?
The national MOVES III programme no longer accepts new applications, and the new Plan Auto+ 2026 only helps with buying the car, not installing the charger. So in the Balearic Islands the grant available for a home charger is FACTOR 2026, open until 28 February 2027 or until the budget runs out.
Charger with solar panels
If you have or plan solar panels, the charger can prioritise surplus solar and charge the car almost for free during the day. Batteries and chargers each have their own FACTOR grant, so it makes sense to apply for both together.
