How energy works in a Sysefen home

1 · Solar panels

The roof makes electricity

The panels on the sunny side of the roof turn light into electricity. That current runs down to the inverter, which gets it ready for the house.

2 · Battery

The surplus is stored

At midday the house uses little. The spare energy charges the Tesla Powerwall and, once it is full, the surplus goes to the grid.

3 · At night

The battery takes over

When the sun goes down, the battery releases the stored energy and the house keeps running on its own sunshine.

4 · Heat pump

The heat pump takes heat from the air

The Vaillant aroTHERM plus heat pump captures energy from the outside air, even in winter, and heats the water in the house using electricity from the panels.

5 · Underfloor heating

Warmth rises from the floor

Warm water runs through the circuits under the floor. The floor heats the house evenly and silently and, because it works at a low temperature, the heat pump is more efficient.
