How much does a solar system produce in Valldemossa?
According to the European Commission’s PVGIS tool, each south-facing kWp in Valldemossa produces around 1,428 kWh a year (9% less than Palma). The mountains cut some hours of sun, so a shading study of each roof is essential. The best month yields about 164 kWh per kWp and the weakest about 71 kWh.
A typical 5 kWp system therefore produces about 7,140 kWh a year, with indicative savings of €857 a year. Exact figures depend on your usage and roof.
What to consider in Valldemossa
Part of the municipality lies within the Serra de Tramuntana World Heritage Site. Panels there must blend into the roof and limit visual impact; we check planning conditions before proposing a system.
Many properties are second homes owned by international residents. We coordinate the installation even if you are away, and you can follow production on your phone.
Solar grants in Valldemossa
The Balearic Government’s FACTOR 2026 programme, which paid 45% towards home batteries, 70% towards EV charging points (max €2,500), 40–70% of the panel cost for businesses and 70% for owners’ associations, closed to applications on 17 October 2026 because its budget ran out. If you already applied, we help you with the final paperwork.
Municipal rebates still apply: we check whether Valldemossa town hall offers IBI or ICIO rebates for solar and handle the application for you. For your main home, Spanish taxpayers can also claim the national or Balearic income-tax deduction, subject to its conditions.
