FACTOR 2026 grants in the Balearic Islands: batteries, heat pumps, EV charging and solar
A practical summary of the Balearic Government’s programme: what it covers for each type of client, how much you can receive and what to check before installing.
FACTOR 2026: the open programme
FACTOR 2026 was published in BOIB no. 83 on 2 July 2026 and accepts applications from 9 July 2026 to 28 February 2027, or until the budget runs out. Grants are awarded first come, first served.
Important for homeowners: in 2026 there is no active grant for solar panels on private homes. FACTOR only funds solar panels for businesses, owners’ associations and other entities. Individuals domiciled in the Balearic Islands can still claim for batteries, EV charging points and heat pumps.

Batteries: how the FACTOR grant is calculated
For homeowners, the grant is 45% of the eligible cost, which is capped per capacity band. The bands apply progressively:

Example: a 13.5 kWh battery
The first 10 kWh allow up to €9,100 and the remaining 3.5 kWh up to €2,275 (€11,375 in total). A 13.5 kWh Tesla Powerwall 3 starts at €9,500 excl. VAT: the whole cost is eligible because it stays below the cap, and the grant would be about €4,275 (45%).
This is an estimate: the final award depends on the paperwork, the remaining budget and full compliance with the rules.
Common pitfalls
Most delayed applications fail on formalities. Before you sign, we check:
- That the project start date is compatible with the programme.
- That the system is fully registered as self-consumption.
- Invoices and bank transfers in the applicant’s name.
- That the applicant is up to date with tax and social security.
- Photos, data sheets and certificates required by the call.
