Indicative prices for a turnkey solar system in Mallorca, what drives them and how much you save with the island’s real sunshine.
Indicative price by system size
For homes, a turnkey system costs about €1.30/Wp with a Fronius inverter and €1.50/Wp with Enphase microinverters, excluding VAT. This includes panels, mounting, protection, permits and monitoring. Small systems have a minimum price because fixed costs weigh more.

Fronius or Enphase?
A central Fronius inverter is the best value on unshaded roofs with one or two orientations, and hybrid models accept a battery. Enphase microinverters optimise each panel individually, which pays off with shading from chimneys, trees or mountains, or on complex roofs.
Batteries
Storage costs about €750/kWh installed, excluding VAT. It pays off with high evening use (heat pump, pool, EV) or if you want backup during outages. In 2026 the FACTOR programme funds 45% of a home battery’s eligible cost; solar panels on private homes have no regional grant this year (businesses and owners’ associations do).
Savings in Mallorca
According to PVGIS, each south-facing kWp in Mallorca produces from about 1,370 kWh a year (Sóller, more mountain shading) to 1,590 kWh (Santanyí); in Palma about 1,575 kWh. A 5 kWp system generates around 7,800 kWh a year.
With 50% self-consumption, €0.06/kWh for exported energy and a €0.18/kWh tariff, that system saves about €950 a year and pays back in roughly 7 years. Holiday homes with low daytime use benefit most from a battery or smart loads such as pool pumps.
